Schwinn Collection For Sale!!
Update 12-2-14...Two of the six bikes are SOLD - the green Phantom and the red Panther. Still for sale are all three Sting Rays and the Black Phantom. You'll find individual prices in the descriptions below. As two have been sold there is no longer package pricing on the group.

Please use THIS FORM to inquire further or to make an offer. Bikes are on display in our store, available for inspection Tuesday through Saturday 10am-6pm. There are 16 photos on this page - please keep scrolling!

The EMERALD in this bunch of jewels has to be the 1971 Sting Ray PeaPicker. All original except for cables and tires (original tires were saved) this bike has the rare disc brake and all the other muscle car features that made every kid on the block envious if someone had it! Features on this bike are; lever covers, cable driven speedometer, generator lightset (F&R lights), shocks in the seat supports, motorcycle drum brake front hub, disc brake rear, five speed stick shifter, springer fork, and the Schwinn MAG chainwheel. The original green flake seat is NOT cracked, and we have a later reproduction seat to go along with it should a new owner want to ride it. It is recommended that the original seat not even be sat upon to prevent cracking, and it has not been since we've had it. One of the most highly collectible Schwinns; plus this is a complete and original example in very good to excellent condition (there is some checking or patina in the original paint and chrome, but it doesn't detract). This bike has been completely disassembled, cleaned and reassembled with new cables and tires, tubes, rimstrips. It's worth $2000 - original and complete.

We have TWO collectible adult bikes made in 1995 known as the Centennial Reproduction Phantoms. One is a red and black Black Phantom (4500 made) and the other is a Green Phantom SOLD which is rarer as only 250 of these were produced. These reproductions were built in Canada using the original specifications of a 1949 Black Phantom which was copied as closely as possible.

These Centennial Reproductions were found in a storage unit auction in 2014 and were sold to us still in the original boxes, which themselves would be collectible except they were moldy and not in a salvageable condition. The bikes were fully enclosed in huge 4 mil plastic bags inside the boxes and were protected from the mold (a little bit got on one front tire). As such these bikes are NEW, never ridden, haven't even had the pedals installed. Each bike has a Certificate of Authenticity bearing its serial number, and other paperwork as new. There is a very minor area of blemish on the top tube of the black bike, as shown in a photo below. Otherwise both bikes are beautiful and stunning. They sold new for $2999.00 each. We need $1500 each.

The other adult bike is a 50's model red Panther with a tank, restored in the 90's by T.A. Rick in Buffalo, New York. It has a replacement front wheel, a replacement rear rim (original New Departure hub), and replacement bar and stem. It was repainted as well. SOLD

Finally, two Sting Rays complete the group. The red and yellow Sting Ray II ($500) is from the sixties, with its bladed fork. It's in great shape cosmetically and mechanically. The pink Lil Chik ($350) is in as good a condition as you'll see any unrestored bike from the eighties. It has two small smudges in the paint on the left side of the head tube. Otherwise it looks new.
